Throne of Glass



Throne of Glass follows the story of Celaena Sardothien, an 18-year-old assassin who is offered her freedom on the condition that she will fight as the prince's champion in a competition to find a new royal assassin.


The story begins with Celaena being released from the salt mines of Endovier, where she has been imprisoned for a year. Prince Dorian offers her a chance to win her freedom by participating in a competition to become the King's Champion. Despite her hatred for the king, Celaena accepts the offer and travels to the glass castle of Rifthold to compete against thieves, assassins, and warriors from across the empire.
